Training & Development Department has its objective to establish a  mechanism, which will help all the Students & Staff Members of  IEM for their 360 degree Skill & Interpersonal Skill Development and also to provide an environment where Student or Staff can explore  their inner potentiality.

Career  Development & Guidance cell of Training & Development Department  offers an all-round career solution to the students. Centre guides the  students to decide and pursue their dream careers in different sectors  be it engineering, IT, Analytics, Consulting, research and development,  Operations etc . The whole placement process is organized and executed  by this department. The campus interviews are held under the supervision  and jurisdiction of this centre and relevant feedback is obtained from  the industry. Career Development and Guidance cell works hard to arrange  full semester industrial internship, which is stipulated under the  academic curriculum. The centre has kept a close liaison with many  companies in the country. 

The  centre also arranges career talks for dissemination of knowledge  regarding the employment opportunities in the industry related to the  relevant fields and interest of the students. Centre keeps record of the  students who undergo internships and the companies which come for  recruitment. In addition Finishing School / Soft Skills Development  Workshops are also organized to improve the communication skills of  students.

Centre  encourages visits to the industries by the institute students and  arranges industrial problems to be worked out by students as part of  their projects. It also takes suggestions from members of the Industry  regarding designing / changing of curriculum.

1. Training  & Development Department trains students on their employability  factors from first year onwards, which is emerged in their academic  calendar.
2. The  first year syllabus includes soft skills, which is completely activity  based, and this helps them to develop their self-confidence, improve  communication and presentation skills and also to keep them motivated to  enhance their employability skills.
3. During  the second and third year the concentration is more on Analytical &  Problem solving skill along with focus on behavioral, leadership and  team building activities.
4. In the final year the students are given touch of finishing school just to make them more professional and industry-ready.
